The layout of the book is easy to follow. Each section begins with an extensive overview of a namespace. Example code and more detail about individual members follow. The example code is concise and well commented, and you should be able to apply it to your own needs. Make sure to check out all the code on the CD.

The book is worth buying for the annotations alone. The authors invite key people who were involved in the development of the .NET Framework to give you some insight into how to use it properly. The strength of this book manifests itself when you're actually programming and you need to look up specific member functions.

The authors do a great job giving you the details that you want. You don't have to weed through tons of information to find what you need. .NET Framework Standard Library Annotated Reference, Volume 2, is a book that all skill levels will benefit from.
