Control Exceptions: Creating GUID Literals
Visual Studio supplies a great tool for creating literal GUIDs during development. This tool can create literal GUIDs in your source code and create database rows with GUID primary keys manually. You access the tool using Tools | Create GUID. Click on the "New Guid" button to generate a new
GUID, then press the "Copy" button to place it in the clipboard. You can then paste the GUID into source code or the SQL Management Studio editor using one of several different formats.
