Figure 2: Embed Your Manifest

A Vista manifest file indicates that an application is Vista-aware. If a manifest indicates that elevated privileges are required, Windows Explorer displays a shield to users. You can add this manifest easily in Visual Studio 2008, but doing so in Visual Studio 2005 requires that you use a manual or automated (C#) post-build process to add the manifest.
