Atalasoft Updates Photo and Document Imaging Toolkit

Boston, Mass.-based Atalasoft announced recently that it has updated its .NET imaging toolkit for photos and documents, DotImage, to version 6.0.

The AJAX-based DotImage offers image editing and document scanning tools for both Web and desktop applications via three versions: DotImage Photo, DotImage Photo Pro and DotImage Document Imaging. Across these releases, Atalasoft has made several improvements, including optimizing commands for multi-core processors, text extraction for PDFs, better support for RAW image files and CAD/CAM viewing, among others.

DotImage 6.0 also now supports Visual Studio 2008, Windows Presentation Foundation and x64-bit architectures.

"In our commitment to Web-based document imaging we have enhanced our toolkit to make it even easier to develop zero-footprint Web-based imaging applications," William Bither, founder and CEO of Atalasoft, said in a released statement.

DotImage Photo sells for $599, DotImage PhotoPro for $1,499 and DotImage Document Imaging for $2,499. New clients who purchase any version of DotImage will receive three months of the company's gold-level support free.
