Private Runtime Intelligence Service Caters to Demanding Environments

PreEmptive Solutions, longtime provider of obfuscation and application analytics technology bundled with Visual Studio, announced at the Tech-Ed Conference today that it is providing a "private" version of its Runtime Intelligence Service (RIS) tailored for the most demanding environments.

`tPreEmptive RIS enables development organizations to capture and analyze valuable application usage and behavior data. Developers can tell, for instance, if end users are taking advantage of a specific new feature in an application, or if software in the field is producing errors or other issues.

According to the company, the new private service provides "customized content privacy, data retention and compliance policy enforcement," as well as tiered service levels and superior administrative and management control over runtime data. Licensing terms provide for transferable access and rights, valuable for partner access to the service across the supply chain. Cost for the Private Runtime Intelligence Service begins at $15,000.

The new service is tailored to the needs to the most demanding customers, said Gabriel Torok, chief executive officer of PreEmptive Solutions, in a statement.

“What we have found is that organizations with the highest value applications also have the most exacting privacy, security and IT governance requirements and today’s marketing analytics solutions are simply not designed with that kind of development in mind,” Torok said.

Subscribers to the private service obtain a dedicated Runtime Intelligence Endpoint, rather than a shared endpoint used by other PreEmptive subscribers. The private service also eliminates user, data and bandwidth constraints present in other levels of the Runtime Intelligence Service.
