Microsoft Publishes LightSwitch API Reference
The API is for the HTML Client.
Microsoft has released an HTML Client API reference for LightSwitch, its platform for building business-focused apps quickly and with minimal writing of code.
Steve Hoag, a senior programming writer on the LightSwitch Team, blogged about the new release. The reference is a one-page document "for every member of the JavaScript API for LightSwitch HTML clients," Hoag wrote.
Hoag also requested feedback from the community on code snippets "that illustrate different API members." He noted that the snippets can be sent from the built-in feedback system in the library. He added that he would publicize the snippets monthly, to give other developers an idea of how they're using the API.
The LightSwitch HTML Client is built on jQuery and jQuery Mobile, along with the datajs library for using OData services from JavaScript clients.
