Third CTP for Visual Studio 2013 Update 5 Now Available

Minor update enables support for graphics debugging of Unity-based apps on Windows Phone and rolls up a few buggy issues.

Microsoft's Visual Studio team blogs of a minor update to Visual Studio 2013 Update 5. The update comes in the form of a third community technology preview, and as usual this means it's a version that is ready for testing, but not quite ready for production.

Visual Studio 2013 Update 5 CTP 3 includes one technology improvement to the debugger. According to the knowledge base article, the debugger now supports "capturing depth buffers on version 9.3 hardware [which] enables support for graphics debugging Unity-based applications that run on Windows Phone."

Alongside the debugger issue are three fixes:

Errant licensing notification that couldn't be dismissed when opening projects after installing VS 2013 Update 4.
An issue with opening documents with too many Unicode characters from the Team Explorer in Team Foundation Server.
Downloading changes from a Git remote repository will introduce a bad file into the Git repository due to how the configuration file is handled during the download process (according to the knowledge base article on this issue, it's an issue having to do with the Git ecosystem)
