DevExpress TestCafe Updated to 15.1

New features in this version include the automation of screen caps of Web pages being tested and customizable test result reports.

DevExpress said it has updated its TestCafe automated Web testing framework. New features in this version include the automation of screen caps of Web pages being tested and customizable test result reports.

TestCafe 15.1 works on Windows, Mac and Linux desktops as well as iOS and Android devices to test Web apps in the major HTML5-supported browsers. One new feature is an automated screen capture which can be configured to capture screen shots of Web pages automatically or manually when tests fail. According to a release, the company said that it was the most-requested feature among users.

Reporting has been enhanced as well, with a customizable grid view within the Task reports that allows for filtering and drilling down into test data issues. From within a Results view, testers can look at specific assertion code failures, which includes screen shots of those failures. Results can be exported to a JSON format or to the NUnit or JUnit testing frameworks.

TestCafe 15.1 also is able to process JavaScript errors.

TestCafe 15.1 can be downloaded here.

TestCafe was last updated in December last year.
