Ensure Your NuGet Packages Are Up-to-Date
Setting two options can ensure that your NuGet packages are present.
You can ensure your project has all its NuGet packages when you do a build. First, go to Tools | NuGet Package Manager | Package Manager Settings to display the Package Manager’s General tab. On that tab, check both "Allow NuGet to download missing packages" and “Automatically check for missing packages during build” in Visual Studio.
With those two options set, you’re guaranteed that no matter what happens as you move your project around, you’ll never have a build fail because of a missing package.
I’m not clear why these aren’t the default settings, quite frankly.
