Quest Upgrades SQL Server 2005 Offerings

Continuing its support of Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server 2005, Quest Software recently unveiled its latest offering, Change Director for SQL Server, as well as upgrades to its Performance Analysis for SQL Server 6.0 and Toad SQL Server 3.0.

Using Change Director for SQL Server, database administrators can automate and monitor the rollout of scheduled and real-time database changes. Reporting features allow administrators to track changes, which helps to preserve version control, minimize change impact and reduce the risk of outages due to unplanned or problematic changes.

Quest has enhanced itsPerformance Analysis for SQL Server, a database workload analysis tool that offers both real-time and historical monitoring and problem-resolution features. The company added an adaptive profiling tool called IntelliProfile that transparently learns the database's baseline performance so that it can easily track performance problems.

Quest Toad for SQL Server, a database development and administration tool, helps developers cut bugs and quicken the pace of code generation without diminishing application performance. Features include new administrative tools, easy export to Excel, editing of duplicate data and notations on database objects.

Change Director, which is now available, starts at $795 per server. More information on Quest's line of SQL Server products can be found here.
