Microsoft HQ Dev Conference Plans Live Visual Studio Toolbox Show, Offers Discount

Microsoft's top developers are taking deep dives into tech ranging from AI apps to .NET MAUI at next week's Visual Studio Live! dev conference in Redmond, with live commentary from the company's Visual Studio Toolbox video team for some sessions.

"On Tuesday, August 5, join us for a special edition of Visual Studio Toolbox Live--broadcast from VS LIVE! Redmond and hosted by Leslie Richardson and Robert Green. You'll get a full day of Microsoft-led sessions, live studio commentary, behind-the-scenes interviews, and exclusive insights straight from campus," Microsoft's Jim Harrer said in a July 29 post.

In fact, a banner across the top of the post indicated fewer than 100 tickets were remaining for the big Visual Studio Live! @ Microsoft HQ conference being held Aug. 4-8, and those can now be scooped up with a special priority code supplied by Microsoft that can result in saving up to $500 off the retail price.

As noted, the special live coverage by the Visual Studio Toolbox team will happen on Tuesday, Aug. 5.

"We're streaming five sessions led by Microsoft product teams across Visual Studio, Azure, GitHub Copilot, and .NET. Whether you're looking to boost your daily productivity or build your next-gen AI app, this day is packed with learning," Harrer said. The live sessions will be made available for on-demand viewing.

Sessions being covered with live Q&A, guest drop-ins and commentary/context include:

  • Getting the Most out of the Latest in Visual Studio
  • Build Next-Gen AI Apps with .NET and Azure
  • Tuesday Keynote: The Future of Visual Studio
  • Getting the Most Out of .NET Development with Visual Studio
  • Building Mobile and Desktop Apps with VS and .NET MAUI

"This is more than just a livestream--it's a chance to learn directly from the people who build the tools you use every day," Harrer said. "We hope you'll tune in, join the chat, and spend a day with us at Microsoft HQ."

With the special relationship Visual Studio Magazine enjoys with Microsoft for the VSLive! series of dev conferences, which are presented by our parent company, we've provided more details about the show in articles like "Microsoft Teases HQ Dev Conference Workflows 'Never Shown Publicly Before'" and "Microsoft Offers Visual Studio Subscriber Discounts to VSLive! By the way, the priority code for up to $500 off the retail price of the conference is: VSLIVEHQ25.
