UPDATED: Windows 8 Dev Preview Now Available for Download
UPDATE: The Windows Developer preview is now live at 5 p.m. PT
In its Build keynote today, Microsoft said that the developer preview for Windows 8 will be downloadable from this URL starting at 8 p.m.
"No activation, just download and install it," Steven Sinofsky, president of Microsoft's Windows Live Division, told the crowd toward the end of the opening keynote.
According to Sinofsky, Microsoft will be continually updating this developer preview as a "test" of the update technology they'll be using for Windows 8.
Sinofsky did not give a timeline for further releases such as the beta and CTP, saying that the company is not going to stick to a timeline, but focus on quality.
Also today Microsoft finally released the Build session schedule and descriptions. The sessions will also be available on Channel 9 here.
