Xamarin Test Cloud Now Available
Xamarin Test Cloud integrates with Visual Studio Team Foundation Server to natively automate testing of mobile apps across thousands of devices and OSes.
Xamarin today announced Xamarin Test Cloud, a solution for developers to test mobile apps among the thousands of devices available out on the market today without having to own those devices.
According to a press release, Xamarin Test Cloud can provide simulated testing environments for more than 1,000 devices, from desktops to mobile devices and includes the various OS versions on a number of platforms.
Xamarin Test Cloud can be used to automate testing of apps through its Calabash cross-platform test automation framework whether developers are working in any C# or Ruby supported tool suite, and can report back on memory and CPU usage performance and test durations. Automated testing can be integrated into Team Foundation Server and other continuous integrations systems like Jenkins and TeamCity.
Xamarin Test Cloud is able to gain access and collect diagnostics information from device logs, stack traces and through hardware data to generate performance reports for more accuracy.
Xamarin Test Cloud has been in development for the past year. It's one of many announcements recently from the company. Last month, the company announced an infusion of $54 million from venture capital firms and the addition of a Universal API to its Xamarin.Forms. In October, the company is holding its Xamarin Evolve conference in Atlanta.
