.NET development tools specialist Syncfusion is out with another update of its UI components suite, with new Xamarin controls of special interest to mobile developers.

The company's offerings under the Essential Studio umbrella (2018 Volume 4 was announced today) are perennial favorites in the annual Visual Studio Magazine Reader's Choice Awards, providing components and frameworks for WinForms, WPF, ASP.NET (Web Forms, MVC, Core), UWP, Xamarin, JavaScript, Angular, Vue and React.

In the new 2018 Volume 4 edition, the company highlighted six new controls for the Xamarin and JavaScript toolkits.

Specifically, the Xamarin UI toolkit received:

  • Button, Backdrop, Border, Badge View and Chips ParallaxView controls
  • Updates to existing controls including form-filling support for PDF, RTL language support for seven more controls, unbound rows support for DataGrid and more

For the JavaScript package, the company's "what's new" site shows that new features include:

  • New StockChart, TreeGrid, PDF Viewer, in-place editor, query builder, Chip and Splitter components included
  • Final version of Pivot Table, Document Editor and Diagram.
