Going into this review, I was not at all sure what to expect. I had no prior knowledge of Curl, although some preliminary research revealed it to be an object-oriented hybrid markup language with similarities to HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Some organizations may not be happy with their service oriented architectures (SOAs). They may have "unhealthy" SOAs as a consequence of partnering with inexperienced system integrators. They may have proprietary SOA technology in the mix, and it may be difficult to scale operations.
The management of services by IT departments is the subject of an August 2007 report by the Aberdeen Group. The report focuses on companies that use IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL)-based approaches, which is a set of best practices for IT. The report specifically hones in on an ITIL discipline called IT Service Management (ITSM).
