CTP 2 Released for Visual Studio 2013 Update 3

While this one isn't for use on production servers, the next one likely will be.

Visual Studio 2013 Update 3 inched closer to release with the publishing of Community Technology Preview (CTP) No. 2 today.

Microsoft Technical Fellow Brian Harry announced the update on his blog today. He said that CTP 2 is a minor update, containing bug fixes and feature tweaks, rather than big new features.

CTP 2, he said, is not a "go live" version, meaning it's not meant for production servers. He added a nugget of information by predicting that the next CTP, for which he didn't provide a release date, will be one that can be used in production.

The first CTP of Visual Studio 2013 Update 3 came out on May 23. That iteration followed just weeks after Visual Studio 2013 Update 2 was officially released. And looking much further into the future, Microsoft put out a preview version of the next full upgrade of Visual Studio, code named Visual Studio '14'.
