Microsoft Issues 'Special Invitation' to Visual Studio Live! Developer Conference

Microsoft announced a "special invitation with a" "sweet offer" to developers attending the upcoming Visual Studio Live! developer conference in Las Vegas, headlined by the company's expert developers.

In fact, Microsoft devs will helm two keynote presentations at the March 3-8 event being held at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.

"This event is a hub for developers eager to explore the latest features in the IDE plus additional insights from experts in Visual Studio, Azure and GitHub," Microsoft announced in a Jan. 10 post titled "Code, Connect & Learn at Visual Studio LIVE! in Las Vegas." The company said it's "not just sponsoring but actively participating in this dynamic conference."

The first keynote for Visual Studio Live! is "Your Future is Bright with Visual Studio and AI" from Mads Kristensen, principal product manager at Microsoft known for his dizzying array of extensions that continually improve the IDE. He will detail some of the latest innovations in AI and Visual Studio.

"You'll learn how these technologies can dramatically improve both your productivity and creativity, and you'll get a glimpse of a fantastic future that sparks your passion for writing code like never before," said Jim Harrer, senior product marketing manager, Visual Studio. "Mads enjoys delighting the crowd by living on the edge and showing the latest internal builds of Visual Studio to get the audience's reaction. You don't want to miss this one."

The second keynote on the following day will be delivered by Bob Ward, principal architect for Microsoft Azure Data at Microsoft.

"His talk, titled 'Developing Modern Data Applications Using the Power of AI with Azure Databases,' will show you how to build data-driven AI applications using the range of options provided by Azure Databases," Harrer said. "You'll learn when and where to use the different Azure Database choices, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Database for MySQL. You'll also discover how to use Microsoft Copilot technologies to speed up your development and improve quality. Bob is a sought-after speaker, especially in this new gold rush where data is the new gold, and AI is the way to unlock its value."

Harrer also pointed out that several additional speakers from Microsoft and GitHub will be discussing many of the latest innovations happening in their products, providing attendees with valuable insights and information.

More information on those sessions can be found in the conference schedule.

Along with developer education, Harrer emphasized the value of networking with fellow developers.

"One of the best reasons to attend Visual Studio LIVE! Las Vegas is the opportunity to network with other Visual Studio developers. This conference brings together developers from all over the world, providing a unique opportunity to connect with others who are facing similar challenges and working on similar projects. This event is cherished for its abundant networking opportunities with fellow developers," he said.

"By attending Visual Studio LIVE! Las Vegas, you'll have the chance to meet other developers in the trenches, share your experiences, and learn from one another. You'll be able to discuss the latest trends and developments, exchange ideas, and collaborate on solutions to common problems."

As far as that "special invitation and "sweet offer," Harrer announced a special discount: "To ensure your spot at this essential gathering of the Visual Studio community, we have an exclusive offer: use the discount code 'VSLMS' to receive a $700 discount off the standard rate on the 6-day, 5-day, and 4-day packages. This is an additional $300 off the current discount rate, making it an unbeatable opportunity. This special offer expires February 9th, 2024."
