Microsoft Build 2024 Sessions Listed: Copilots, Copilots & More Copilots
Microsoft today announced the session catalog for its Build developer conference next month in Seattle, with AI unsurprisingly dominating the event.
When you go to the session catalog for Build 2024 you see 245 results. When you filter for "AI" you get 137 sessions, while a "Copilot" search yields 82 sessions.
The description for the opening keynote delivered by Satya Nadella, chairman and CEO, promises attendees will "learn how this era of AI will unlock new opportunities, transform how developers work and drive business productivity across industries."
Exec Scott Guthrie and others will present a second keynote titled "Next generation AI for developers with the Microsoft Cloud," wherein attendees can "learn how you can build the secure and responsible AI solutions of the future with the foundation of the Microsoft Cloud."
A new blog post detailing the session catalog and more is now up, listing MVP picks including "Building copilots with plugins and connectors in Copilot Studio."
No doubt the new Copilot experience in Visual Studio 2022 will be discussed, as Microsoft recently announced the AI tech is being integrated into the IDE as a single package delivering functionality that, before the latest preview update, came in two separate extensions for GitHub Copilot and GitHub Copilot Chat.
"We're thrilled to introduce the new, unified Copilot experience in Visual Studio 17.10, now available in Preview 3 (General availability in May)," Microsoft announced on April 9. "This combines the features of Copilot and Copilot Chat into one convenient package. Eliminating the need to install two separate extensions and bringing you more deeply integrated AI experiences in the future."
The May 21-23 conference will feature live and online sessions.
